In a recent article http://www.rigzone.com/news/article.asp?hpf=1&a_id=121578 Deloitte Center for Energy Solutions Executive Director Branko Terzic  said pledging support to energy efficiency and conservation and renewables puts utilities and oil and gas companies in a good strategic position. What do you think?

Does this seem true or is this thinking oversimplified?

RE: the last debate--Obama and Romney clashed over a series of issues. Several media outlets said the most dramatic moment was when the two candidates stood just a few feet apart "almost eye-balling" each other during a discussion about the lack of drilling for oil on federal land. What did you think about the outcome?

During the last debate Obama said "we've got to make sure we're building the energy source of the future, not just thinking about next year, but 10 years from now, 20 years from now. That's why we've invested in solar and wind and biofuels, energy efficient cars." How big of a role should these other sources really be playing alongside fossil fuels?
